Open Day/ Fundraiser

Lea Wood Cattery’s first Open Day/Afternoon on the 15th of September, 2012, was a complete success.
The latest Penthouse Chalets – The Mew Hefner & Miss Kitty Suites were officially opened by the Mayor – Councillor Lesley Rollings and Lea Wood Cattery would like to thank Councillor Rollings for coming and performing the grand opening.
Lea Wood Cattery would also like to thank Ping of Gainsborough and Crown Petfoods for their generous donations for our raffle and tombola.  The sun shone and we had over 70 people visit and “take the tour”.
£354.00 was raised to be shared between Lincoln Cat Care & The Birman Welfare – so thank you to everyone who came to make our afternoon so special.
Unfortunately, we have been unable to run another Open Day/Afternoon since due to being so busy. However, we have made donations to several cat-related charities – locally and nationally.
For 2014 and during Christmas we collected donations for The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and sent a donation of £80.00.
During 2015 we collected for The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation and have donated £160.00 to The Snow Leopard Project.
During 2016 we shall again be collecting for The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation.  We have donated a car to the charity and Liz’s Dad’s Funeral Charity was also the DSWF.
The Cattery is holding an Open Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan in the near future and all are welcome to donate to this special cause.
